About us
Over 20 years of hands-on experience, helping homeowners across Central Scotland create warmer walls and healthier homes.
How it all started
Start A Fresh Ltd was built on more than 20 years of hands-on experience. After completing my plastering apprenticeship, I became self-employed and grew the business through word of mouth, honest advice and workmanship people could rely on.
Over the years, our focus has moved towards better ways of improving cold and condensation-prone walls, particularly in older and solid-wall homes. We use breathable wall systems that raise internal surface temperatures and help reduce condensation and the conditions that allow mould to return.
We have worked with CorkSol since 2018 and are a CorkSol Approved Contractor. Our work now includes CorkSol Thin Internal, external spray cork, internal and external wall insulation, lime plastering, and condensation and mould control.
Every property is different, so we do not push the same answer for every job. We look at the building, explain the suitable options clearly and carry out the work with proper preparation, careful protection and a clean finish.

CorkSol Approved Contractor
As a CorkSol Approved Contractor, we install CorkSol Thin Internal and external spray cork systems across Central Scotland. These breathable finishes help improve wall surface temperatures, increase comfort and reduce condensation and the conditions that encourage mould.
Our approved internal system is supported by a 25-year manufacturer warranty with insurance backing, while the external CorkSol material also carries a 25-year manufacturer warranty. We also provide our own 24-month workmanship warranty on the installation.
Send us a few photos and some basic details and we’ll give you an honest view of the options worth considering for your property.
