We check the existing plaster and the surface underneath before recommending repairs or re-plastering. Where sound plaster can be kept, we discuss retaining it.

Lime plaster for existing walls
From patch repairs to re-plastering a room, we choose the preparation and lime plaster to suit the existing walls.
Where uneven masonry needs building out, we can use Best of Lime’s Warmcote base coat followed by a Limecote finish. Suitable existing lime plaster can also be prepared and skimmed with Limecote, keeping sound material in place.
The finish: We can follow the character of an older wall or work towards a straighter surface, depending on the background and the look you want.
A new lime plaster finish
Not every wall needs straightening or a full new base coat. Where existing lime plaster is sound and suitable, we can prepare it and apply a new lime finish.
We discuss the texture and appearance you want, including keeping the character of an older wall.
Lime plaster over CorkSol
We apply lime plaster finishes over CorkSol on our internal wall projects, giving the sprayed cork a plastered surface ready for suitable decoration.
