Internal CorkSol installation in Glasgow

This bedroom had recurring mould on cold walls. We applied CorkSol to help improve the wall surface temperature and reduce condensation risk, then finished with plaster ready for decoration.

Here’s how the work came together, from preparation to the plaster finish.

Why we used CorkSol

The tenants were dealing with recurring mould in this bedroom. CorkSol was chosen to help improve the cold wall surfaces and reduce the risk of condensation, while keeping the build-up thin and minimising loss of room space.

Preparing and applying CorkSol

We protected the room and prepared the walls before spraying the CorkSol coating. The clips below show the preparation, the cork being applied and the walls drying with fans before plastering.

Step 1 — Preparing the room

Step 2 — Spraying the CorkSol coating

Step 3 — Drying the CorkSol coating

The plaster finish

Once the CorkSol coating had dried, we plastered the walls ready for decoration.
